Where the Cars Have Gone to Die (2015)

This place was once used to make gunpowder, as a complementary facility to the close by underground factory we’ve visited earlier. The contrast between its concrete structures and the surrounding greenery is striking in summer.

Another thing that is striking about this place is all the cars that have been left here. Whether they were abandoned together with the facility or if they have been brought here since it closed down is not clear. Maybe they have been stolen and hidden here? One thing that’s clear, however, is that we would gladly have taken pity on them if the law and the logistics had allowed for it.
